Abstract
(English)
We extend previous results on sliding-mode observers for continuous-time dynamic systems with vector measurements of the state variables. The design of the proposed full-order observer can be done under conditions that ensure the stability of the estimation error less restrictive with respect to those know from the current literature on sliding-mode estimators for nonlinear systems. Such conditions can be expressed in terms of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) and so the design can be made using efficient numerical techniques. Simulation results are presented with an application to a network communication problem.
