Abstract
(English)
The present electronics industry is based on materials like semiconductors, ferrites, magnetic garnets, piezoelectric, ultraviolet and IR sensitive crystals and crystalline films for microelectronics, computers photovoltaic and photonic applications. Since crystals find important place in current technology, the research is, now, mainly oriented towards crystal growth, in particular, epitaxial growth. Crystal growth is an interdisciplinary subject comprising physics, chemistry, materials science, electronics, metallurgy and electrical engineering. Now the trend is that there is no modern technology without crystal growth. The reason is that the epilayers have better properties than the bulk materials as far as the structural and electrical properties are concerned which is mainly due to the fact that growth is carried out at a temperature much lower than the melting point of the compound or the alloy.....
