Abstract
(English)
The compounds obtained from synthesizing elements of group IV,V,VI form an interesting type of material, particurally useful for the direct conversion of heat into electricity and for cooling. At present the materials having the highest value of thermoelectric figures of merit (usually denoted by Z) near room temperature are alloys of the compounds Bi2Te3,Sb2Te3 and Bi2Se3. They have been used in Peltier cooling devices operating near and below room temperature and in thermoelectric generators working up to a hot junction temperature of about 300C.....
