Abstract
(English)
This paper describes a divide-and-conquer strategy for solving block Hessenberg systems. The method is a revised version of the recursive divide-and-conquer method due to Stewart. It keeps the good stability properties and the number of arithmetic operations of the original algorithm with a lower memory requirement.
