Abstract
(English)
A promising technique is presented for computing steam fraction in a two-phase reservoir, utilizing fluid composition and its variations. The molar fractions in the steam phase of the chemical species in the reservoir are first computed, starting with fluid composition at the wellhead. The gas species in the reservoir are partly in the vapour phase and partly dissolved in the liquid phase. We assume that the main gas species, such as CO2, CH4, H2, H2S and H2O, are in chemical equilibrium in the reservoir. One other fundamental assumption is that the two-phase fluid is in phase and chemical equilibrium in the reservoir and fluid is transferred at the wellhead without any mass gain or loss, although phase changes may occur.
