Abstract
(English)
the problem of confined seepage of water under hydraulic structure through a porous medium is reduced to a variational inequality in a closed convex set of an appropriate abstract space. Existence and uniqueness of the solution are proved. By means of the finite element method an approximation of the solution is obtained solving, layer by layer of the medium, a variational inequality in a closed convex set of a finite dimensional space.
