Molnar G. CL-a compiler language. In: Calcolo, vol. 5 (1) pp. 861 - 872. Giardini, Springer Verlag Italia, 1969.
The generaI aim of the language CL is to offer a tool which makes the implementation of programming languages easier. CL can be considered as a set of single facilities particularly suitable for language implementation, each of which could be used indipendently from the others; but is can be considered as a selfstanding language including also protection against erroneous use. A program written in CL is a compiler. Its structure follows the formal definition of the source language which makes it easy to go from a formal definition to a CL program.
