Abstract
(English)
The sequences of interspike intervals generated from two integrate-and-fire neural models coupled in a synaptic-like way and in the presence of chaotic forcing are considered to investigate the process of information transmission from the first to the second oscillator, mainly looking at its dependence on the oscillator firings rates. The rationale is using the nonlinear predictability of interval sequences to monitor the information about the chaotic signal. the results shows that information about the nonlinear signal is critically transmitted through the synaptic coupling and is maintained only under particular conditions.
