Abstract
(English)
Data are reported on total Hg concentration in 101 foodstuffs which often enter the Italian diet. using these data, the possible average Hg intake per week with typical italian diets was calculated. The introduction was also considered of particular foodstuff, such as edible marine species caught in the Italian seas and in particular off the southern Tuscan coast, an area that has long been known to be influenced by the Hg anomaly of Mount Amiata
