Abstract
(English)
A nonlinear system of PDE's describing phase transition is considered in accordance with a recent dissipative model proposed by Fr'emond, in which, in particular, the power of interior forces depends on microscopic movements. Existence of a global solution is proved for the resulting initial and boundary value problem through a fixed point argument. Moreover, an uniqueness result is established for a slightly simplified version of the system.
