A Systematic Literature Review on Business Process Flexibility
Cognini R., Corradini F., Gnesi S., Polini A., Re B.
In dynamic business environments organizations must quickly react to changes in order to remain competitive. Dynamicity should be reflected on the various artefacts used to organize and monitor the organization itself. Business Process models are one of these artefacts, and it becomes necessary to have the possibility of including in them some form of flexibility. Correspondingly process aware information systems will have to include suitable mechanisms to support flexibility.
